95 people out of 100 wrote that when they hear ‘alternative energy’ they think of ecological energy. The second most frequent answer was ‘renewable energy’, which was written by 87 people out of 100. The third most common answer to what ‘alternative energy’ mean was ‘solar panels’. More than half the people said that they think of windmills, and almost half the people said that they think of electric cars. Some people also thought of cheap electricity, no electricity bills and clean energy when they heard the words ‘alternative energy’.
