Read the next part of the Goldenhorn story carefully. Prevod

One spring merchants stopped at the inn. A young wealthy Italian was among them. He spoke sweet words to the innkeeper’s daughter. Therefore the girl and the hunter of Trenta had a bad quarrel. The girl said: ′Italians are fine gentlemen, not like you. You know all the riches of the mountains, but you haven’t yet brought me the Triglav rose. The young Italian has given me a pearl necklace already at the first meeting′.

The hunter was angry and he said: “I know where the key to the gold is hidden, and if I get it, I will be the king. And then you can just wait for your traders as long as you like.”

Offended he left the inn. He met up with the Green hunter. The man was greedy and he told the young hunter stories about the treasure of the mountain. They went to catch the Goldenhorn. They found the proud animal on the cliff and the Trenta hunter shot him. The young hunter forgot all about Goldenhorn’s magic powers. From the blood of the mortally wounded animal grew the miraculous Triglav rose. The hunters followed the badly wounded animal along a narrow path, which ended at a steep cliff. Suddenly, the Trenta hunter saw the most beautiful Triglav roses. He even saw the edelweiss, a flower herb, which he used to make medicine for his mother’s eyes. He immediately remembered his poor mother and did not want to follow the animal. But the Green hunter began to tell him some bad words, and so the young man continued to follow the bloody trail.

In the meantime the Goldenhorn came to the spot where the Triglav roses grew and ate some. Immediately he got back his powers. He turned and ran on the narrow path towards the Trenta hunter.

They met and his horns glowed beautifully in the sunlight. At that moment the hunter was lost: before him the proud Goldenhorn, underneath the bottomless depths, behind him the steep cliff. He was terrified and blinded from the shine of the golden horn. He felt dizziness in his head, and fell into the depths.

Next spring the river Soča brought his body into the valley, in front of the inn. The hunter held in his hands a bunch of Triglav roses.

In the summer the shepherds returned to the Lake valley. There they found stones and rocky cliffs. White women had left the place forever. Goldenhorn had in his anger completely destroyed his mountain paradise and left it.

The treasure had remained hidden below the Triglav mountain.
